GI REVIEW – Legends Never Die Gi
GI REVIEW – Legends Never Die Gi
It’s been nearly one year that the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu lost one of the greatest athletes in its history: Leandro Lo Pereira do Nascimento.
To those who knew him, Leandro was more than just an athlete. He was a legend of the sport, having conquered all of the major titles that the sport has to offer. He was a friend to so many – regardless of affiliation. He was loyal, with a big heart, and was always willing to give back to the community. He brought joy, happiness, and inspired awe in everyone who met him.
Leandro joined the Kingz team back in 2016, and instantly became one of the most important athletes in the history of the company. Not only had he become a close friend to our founder, Bruno, but he also easily represented all of the best values in BJJ: bravery, loyalty, sacrifice, a relentless drive, and the spirit of a true champion.
So, the design and development of the Legends Never Die Gi was a special undertaking for the Kingz team. Not only did we want to honor the memory of one of the greatest members of the BJJ community, but we also wanted it to serve a purpose. We wanted to give back, in Leandro’s honor. Because that’s what he would have done.
The proceeds of every single sale of the Legends Never Die Gi go toward the Instituto Leandro Lo, a non-profit based in Brazil that is dedicated to changing the lives of adults and children through the power of jiu-jitsu… just as it changed Leandro’s life, and just as it changed yours.
