Pans 2023 - Congratulations Kingz Athletes
Pans 2023 : Congratulations Kingz Athletes
If you didn’t catch the IBJJF Pan American Championships last weekend, you missed out on some major action! One of the “Big Four” gi tournaments in the IBJJF calendar, the Pans was jam-packed with big names and epic matches.
Among them were some of our very own Kingz Athletes… who did not disappoint! Here’s are a few of those that hit the top of the podium last weekend:
Tainan Dalpra
Division: Black Belt Adult, Middle
Always a crowd pleaser, Tainan basically showcased a master class in back attacks against his opponents, securing him his third Pan American championship win at black belt!
Diogo Reis
Division: Black Belt Adult, Light-Feather
The Baby Shark’s finals match was a rematch from last year’s World Championships, against Diego Pato. This time, Diogo’s relentless passing game secured him the narrow victory!
Cole Abate
Division: Brown Belt Adult, Light
This is Cole’s first major IBJJF appearance since being promoted at the IBJJF Euros last January… and he did not disappoint, with four of his five wins were secured by submission.
Sarah Galvão
Division: Juvenile 2, Medium-Heavy and Open
Jiu-jitsu royalty, Sarah is following in her parents’ footsteps, with dominating performances every time she stpes on the mat! In fact, she is well on her way toward another Double Grand Slam win…
Several other Kingz Athletes also secured podium finishes:
